Newton County Public Library is pleased to offer an engaging Summer Exploration Club this year – “Oceans of Possibilities” is all about water and oceanography!  It’s an invitation to read, experience, and learn, even when we’re far from the ocean.!

All ages may participate in this engaging learning program – our littlest patrons, 2 years old through Kindergarten, are our Scouts – they may earn weekly rewards for coming to our programs!

Adventurers are readers in 1st through 3rd grades, and they earn rewards for every hour that they read, and are entered into weekly and final drawings!

Explorers, who are readers in 4th through 6th grades, will earn rewards for every 2 hours that they read, and are entered into weekly and final drawings!

Programs are geared toward learning while having fun – the Library will kick off the week of June 6th with a visit from Game Truck!  Game Truck is a mobile video game experience like no other!  Various supervised gaming platforms are available to play in the Game Truck trailer, while dancing and socializing will be going on in the parking lot!

Tie-dye experiences, a visit from Silly Safari, and a field trip to North Newton’s fish room are all part of the Summer Exploration Club fun!

We haven’t forgotten our teens – they are invited to read up to 5 books and write reviews to earn rewards, win weekly prizes, and entries into our final drawing!

Adults may read up to 5 books and submit reviews to earn incentives, too!  Each Library will top off the summer with a drawing for adult readers to win a great prize basket!

Registration for “Oceans of Possibilities” begins the week of May 23rd at Lake Village, Morocco, and Roselawn Libraries.  Visit your branch of the Newton County Public Library for more information, and get ready to splash into summer!
